About me
IINA HELLDAN
I am Iina Helldan, an immigration and residence permit expert
and the founder of Lupanainen.
I have more than 20 years of experience in organizations, the public sector and private social enterprises and it has given me a deep understanding of the diversity of immigration and the challenges it faces. I have worked, among other things, as a social councellor, an advice center worker, as a head of training and advocacy worker in a NGO specializing in immigration issues, and I have written a guide on guidance and counseling of immigrant clients, Tienhaaroja ja umpikujia.
My client base has been broad and diverse, consisting of citizens of over 70 different countries. I have helped specialists, students, entrepreneurs, au pairs, asylum seekers, undocumented immigrants, athletes, employees, descendants of Finnish citizens, EU citizens and many others find solutions to their individual situations.
The name of my company, Lupanainen means "a permit woman" in Finnish and it dates back to the time when I worked as an immigration specialist at the Ohjaamo Helsinki advice point. If I was not on duty, customers often asked: -Where is that permit woman who helps with residence permit issues?

Consultation 20 minutes – €40
A fast and efficient way to get expert advice on one immigration-related question. A consultation is suitable for handling a short matter, for example, finding out what the right residence permit category would be, what attachments are needed for the application, what benefits you are entitled to or questions related to applying for citizenship. You will receive clear instructions, a written summary of the meeting and an offer for further services or a referral to another service provider.

Consultation 60 minutes – €120
A great way to get expert advice on your larger or more immigration-related questions. Suitable for, for example, clarifying a broader immigration-related matter containing many questions or clarifying the affairs of several people.
You will receive answers and clear instructions, a written summary of the meeting and an offer for further services or a referral to another service provider.
By phone or video conference. Service languages Finnish and English.

Single matter handling – €200 + possible fees
A comprehensive service for handling a single immigration-related case, such as responding to additional information, preparing a complaint or handling the case, investigating a broader issue on behalf of the client, or holding an advocacy meeting with an authority or service provider to support the client.
The service includes a 20-minute consultation and approximately 1–2 hours of working time to handle the case. Possible fees and travel expenses related to the case handling are added to the price. The consultation is paid in advance, other fees are invoiced afterwards.
Residence permit application packages – €250–€500 / applicant
The service includes everything needed to apply for a residence permit: assessment of personal situation, advice on applying for a permit, use of the Enter Finland service, filling out the application and adding attachments, appointment for identification and assistance in answering additional questions. Possible fees and travel expenses related to the case handling are added to the price. The price is determined by the type and basis of the permit and the number of applicants; in family or employer-specific cases, it is cheaper when there are more applicants at the same time.
Employer service packages – €300–700 per employee or family member
A comprehensive service for managing the residence permit process for a foreign employee. Includes processing the employee's residence permit application (residence permit application package services), managing the company's obligations at Enter Finland, and advising on matters related to hiring a foreigner. The price depends on the type of employee permit and the number of applicants (several employees from the same company at the same time or a permit is also applied for for the employee's family).
Immigration bureaucracy services – starting at €200
Advice, guidance and, if necessary, assistance with dealing with agencies in matters required for moving to Finland, such as registrations, applying for social security, taxation, banking services, driver's license matters, education and daycare places and housing arrangements. The price is determined according to the needs of the client or family; travel expenses are added to assistance with dealing with matters outside the capital region.
Training and speaking engagements – request a quote
Customized training and speaking engagements on immigration, residence permits, diverse work communities and multicultural guidance. Suitable for non-profit organizations, companies and other organizations.
Other advisory and guidance services – starting at €120/h
